fotografiert von wausk 2003Greathead war Chef-Ingenieur auf die City & South London Railway (heute Teil der Northern Line, eröffnet in 1890), und kurz vor seinem Tod, begann ihre Arbeit auf der Central Line (eröffnet 1900) mit Sir Benjamin Baker. He was also a consultant in relation to the construction of the Blackwall Tunnel and the Waterloo & City Line , both completed after his death. Er war auch als Berater in Bezug auf den Bau der Blackwall-Tunnel und die Waterloo & City Line, die beide nach seinem Tod fertig wurden.
